I currently take 375mg Venlafaxine and 300mg Pregabalin for treatment resistant depression, social anxiety and ocd. My Psychiatrist wants me to come off Pregabalin and try one of three drug choices alongside Venlafaxine.

Vortioxetine
Trazodone
Aripiprazole

My concerns with the first two are serotonin syndrome and my concern with the last is weight gain.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

I don't have any experience with those 3 meds.

I am on Venlafaxine 375 mg/day, and also take Celexa 40 mg day. It's an SSRI. I've never had a problem with serotonin syndrome. It's actually a lot harder to get, than most people realize.

Venlafaxine is Pristiq, right? If so, Pristiq is an exceptional antidepressant for me.

I am on 450 mg of venlafaxine (extended-release).

I also take 30 mg aripiprazole along with a few other things (mirtazapine, olanzapine, clonazepam).

Anyway, I have experienced weight gain, but not from aripiprazole. It has been primarily the olanzapine that has caused the weight gain.

Aripiprazole is an atypical antipsychotic that is typically associated with less weight gain than some of the others, though that doesn't mean nobody gains weight from it.

Whoops, sorry - venlafaxine is Effexor, not Pristiq.
