Every time I take my morning dose of lithium I throw up, but usually in the breakfast with my meds all I eat is some apple sauce or a piece of fruit. I'm going to try a bunch of different stuff to see what helps, but the more ideas the merrier.

It’s been way to long ago since I was on lithium to be of much use as to what foods to eat but I do remember you need to drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Perhaps drinking a full glass of water before you take the lithium and eat might help. Like 30 minutes before you take the meds?

I drink ~5L of water throughout the day (about 1/2 of a L before my meds) so I don't think it has anything to do with being dehydrated

Everything I ate made me throw up. I threw up chicken noodle soup all over the floor one time. And that’s super light on your stomach. I had to lower my dose. It was the only option. I also drank so much water I ended up wetting the bed one night and my staff at one point refused to give me water because they were worried about water intoxication. That’s why I went down on it more then the throwing up part.
7 years later it started wrecking my kidneys. My kidney function is not getting better. My paperwork says I have chronic kidney disease. My primary thinks my kidney issues are why my mental health meds don’t work good. That med really messed me up. I hope you don’t have any more issues with it. Is there any other option besides it? The good news is I had zero withdrawals going off it. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

Sip ginger tea for nausea. Peppermint tea can also be helpful, as can the 2 teas together.
