Four days ago my psychiatrist put me Latuda because of what he calls bipolar like mood swing symptoms. It's only been 4 days but I'd expect at least a little difference. It's not doing anything for my mood swings or SI. I don't want to be a pesty patient but it seems Latuda is an antipsychotic. I thought meds like Lithium were for mood swings.
Should I call on Monday to make an appointment or just wait it out hoping Latuda will stabilize my mood? |

Latuda is used for stabilizing moods. So is Lamictal and some other meds. Lithium is more inclined to help control mania.
4 days is not long enough to know whether a medication will work. My pdocs always say 2 weeks, at least. __________________ |

That's good to know. After 9 days I'm not sure there's any difference in mood. In the mornings I feel ok lately but in about 30 minutes I feel completely drained and have to sleep for at least an hour. And a lot of muscle pain. I read those can be Latuda symptoms. I can live with the muscle pain but the fatigue is difficult. Maybe there's medication that can fix that.
