Hi, my neurologist prescribed propanolol for my tremor, which is mostly from medication and is pretty severe. She was vague about the dose...said try 40mg. to start then see how it affects me. If I need more, take more.
Dose anyone here have experience with propanolol - either for tremor or for anxiety? What dose do you take? Do you find it helpful?

I was on it for anxiety and was 20mg. Then it was upped to 40mg.
It's also used for high blood pressure so I had to up it to 80mg to combat both. **would love to say it helped but I came off it 1.5 years ago and have never went back on it** Sent from my SM-G980F using Tapatalk |

I take 20mg twice a day for anxiety I would think the dosage for tremors would be 2-3 times a day to keep a constant blood rate. But I have no idea. I know it works miracles for my anxiety

I was on it for hand tremors from lithium. I think I got up to 60mg. Helped the tremors some but they never totally went away until I stopped lithium. I think I get tremors occasionally but I think it is just nerves at that point. I used to take propranolol for anxiety long time ago.

Thanks for the replies! Much appreciated. I have to say that after only 2 doses my tremor is slightly lessened. What a relief. I'm hoping this is a sign of more help to come.
