I might be on the wrong medication. What I dislike about having to wait to see my psych doc is that psychotic episodes could happen in between appointments. The other night, I took an extra 20 mg Olanzapine ODT because I thought it would help me manage my illness more. I think it did help, but I did not continue taking the higher dose because I did not want unwanted side-effects to worsen. And if there is a medication that works better for me with little to no side-effects, I'm all for that.

What is the "wrong medication" that you mention? Also 20 mg olanzapine is a lot (that is the maximum recommended dose for one day).

Do you communicate these things to your psych doc? Their goal is to help you manage in between appointments, so bringing up that concern could probably help you.
