I was wondering if anybody on either of these meds have started getting nightmares after a dose increase?

Prozac I went from 20 mg to 40 mg.

Diazepam I went from 5 mg to 10 mg.

Lately, I've been having nightmares.

When I was on lower doses of these meds, I didn't have nightmares.

So far I've had two nightmares yesterday and two nightmares today.

I've been waking up in a bad/depressed mood due to these nightmares.

I'm so sorry that is happening to you. How awful. I am not on the medications you mention so I hope those here on the Forums who are on those medicines will see your post and respond to it helpfully.

Sometimes Valium can mess with your sleep cycles in that way because it acts on your gaba receptors. Gaba receptors are part of the way your brain processes things while unconscious or semi conscious.

I'm on 15 miligrams of prescribed valium a day and I have not had any nightmares. My overall sleep issues are better then they were in 2017-2019 but I think its because I'm not working right now.

I often wake up really early but I'm not sure thats a valium thing.

I'm newly on Zoloft and have been having some weird, unpleasant dreams. I really hope it stops soon.

Update: So far haven't had anymore nightmares.

Let's hope I don't jinx it by saying this.

Maybe it was my body adjusting to the new doses?
