I just started Adderall this week for my ADD and I already feel so much better. There's still a little adjusting to do with dosage amounts and times, but I honestly feel like a different person - my depression is even better and I just feel...well...happy now that I'm focused.
I have experienced some of the normal side effects - jitters (not bad, just like having too much coffee), dry mouth and decreased appetite. But the weird thing is, sometimes I do actually get hungry but when I eat, the food just doesn't taste as good. I end up not eating that much - like today I ate about a quarter of a frozen lunch entree and they are pretty small. I get hungry again in a few hours, but again, nothing really appeals to me and when I even eat things I normally like, I'm not really into it. Don't get me wrong - to me this is a good side effect. I need to lose weight anyway. But I was really more curious if a side effect to the Adderall could actually be a change in the taste of the food you eat? I wasn't sure if it was that or if it's something else like I'm getting sick (sure hope not). Anyone else experienced or heard about diminished taste buds while on Adderall? Namaste, Misty |

Be careful with the eating problems; anorexia and loss of appetite on high up on the list of side effects (percentage wise).
and "taste problems" are there too: http://www.webmd.com/drugs/drug-6316...l&pagenumber=6
