What has helped you with Bipolar depression the most?
I feel I am on a lot of different medications that are supposed to help with this, and maybe they are helping a little bit, but not enough. My depression feels very intense lately, although I am attending work regularly and keeping up with some activities. When I fall, I fall hard. I also get anxious, ruminating thoughts that play over and over in my head, which is really intrusive and hard to deal with. That leads to thoughts of not wanting to be here anymore, and I don't want to end up hospitalized. When I feel that way, I take klonopin, but I don't always want to depend on that. I am on Latuda (40 mg), Lamictal (400 mg), Seroquel (recently raised to a 300 mg... but I've been on higher in the past), and klonopin as needed. I am aware that these meds are supposed to have strong antidepressant properties, but I don't think they are doing enough. And antidepressant SSRIs have led to mixed mania, so I can't take those. __________________ Bipolar 1 Disorder, Unspecified Anxiety Disorder |

Vraylar does best at preventing depression for me without causing mania (maybe even preventing mania?)

I’m on Bupropion (Wellbutrin) and vortioxetine as antidepressants.
I was stable for a long time on just vortioxetine as my antidepressant along with my mood stabiliser so I’ve not long started bupropion as I’m having a depressive episode currently. It seems to be helping a bit so far. I hope you find something that works for you! |
