Hi all. I'm wondering how long it took for side effects to go away when starting vraylar. Particularly akathesia or any eye side effects. Thanks

Hi @Catgotmytongue - I am not quite sure. Have you considered asking your pdoc or pharmacist? They might be able to answer that technical kind of question.

Also if symptoms have not gone away, your prescriber may want to know in case some change is needed.

Hi thanks.

I have asked my doctor before. Some side effects go away after some time. I wanted to ask here because it is different for everyone. I've asked in a different forum before but only had a couple people answer. I just like to know what others experiences are.

The two people who answered said 3 weeks and 1-2 months.

Hi, I took Vraylar before and I know this probably doesn't help a whole lot, but I didn't really experience any significant side effects from it.

I think it's a pretty side-effect neutral medication (though of course any medication can cause a whole lot of side effects).

I ended up stopping it, however, because it didn't work. Well, it may have worked for psychosis, but it definitely didn't work for depression. Anyway, hope that helps a little.
