I have been on Bupropion SR 200 mg 1x a day for 8 yrs. I found some generics smelled to the point that I could not get myself to take them. Often those would also leave me with weird side effects like the medication wasn't being evenly released. I found Sandoz manufacture/brand worked the best for me. Sandoz has decided to stop distributing/making the SR level.
A google has lots of different opinions about how the generics work; not a lot on smell. Does anyone know of another brand that doesn't have an odor - if you are sensitive to smells? Supposedly Epic Pharma took over from Sandoz so I'm getting a 30 day supply of that to see. |

I did not think mine smelled, but I think I have a poor sense of smell. Other people are always smelling things that I don't.

I haven't noticed that mine have any smell. Well, now that I've checked, when I smell them all in the bottle, there's a strange smell. But an individual pill doesn't seem to smell, at least to me. Are you smelling the whole bottle first or an individual pill?
I take Bupropion HCL XL, manufactured by Slate Run Pharm...

HI, I am smelling the bottle. Like when I just take the cap off. I did find someone with Epic Pharma brand. They are not bad. Not as smell free as Sandoz but pretty close. I recognize I'm pretty sensitive to odors.
I'm on day 4 with the new brand - day 1 and 2 were pretty bad, day 3 not so bad and today I woke up feeling the best in a while. Life has been pretty stressful so not sure if the day 1 and 2 had anything to do with the switch or just life. |
