I was on Wellbutrin for a relatively short time (4 months), but I had the weirdest reaction while on it. It was like my mind and body were running at different speeds with my mind slower than the world around me. For example, I could wave my hand in front of my face and my brain would take a full second to see and comprehend that: "Oh! It moved!" and react accordingly. It would lead to a weirdly comical moment where my head would be chasing my hand if I waved it repeatedly. I didn't feel confident going up and down stairs by the end of it because of that disjointed reaction time.

It went away when I stopped Wellbutrin, but I was curious if anyone has had similar reactions with it (or any drug for that matter) or can help shed light on what was happening. I'm honestly at a loss.

I take Wellbutrin but have never experienced that. Definitely strange. Did you ask your psychiatrist about it? I'd be interested in knowing what anyone else has to say,
Thanks for this!

I did at the time, be he didn't know either. It's more of a curiosity now than anything else, but I think I'll ask again when I meet him on Monday.

I have never had any effects from wellbutrin. But I have from some other meds. I've had similar effects to yours and some even weirder.

No one knows how a drug will affect you. Don't be afraid to tell doc if you don't like it or can't tolerate it.

You are the driver of your treatment. Don't sit back and just accept what doc says. Speak up about what you do and don't want. A good doc will listen and discuss.

I hope you find the right one soon
