Anyone try this? Dr. gave it to me last week for anhedonia which is really bad. I don't enjoy walking or anything.

Never heard of it. Hopefully others here know about it and have some helpful experience and knowledge to share with you. Sorry you are burdened with anhedonia!

Side effects include nervousness, trouble sleeping, and irritability. I experienced agitation on Wellbutrin and Adderall which is why he gave me Strattera. Dr. said ECT increases dopamine and pleasure but I can't have that done. I had ECT and it was horrible.

Anhedonia is very hard to treat - I feel your pain (Or lack of anything..). I mainly complained about agitation and anhedonia at the start.

I remember Googling anhedonia in 2013 and there weren't many search results for it. I found a guy posting on a forum (He was experimenting different drugs with his doctor) - There were other people with anhedonia following/commenting on his progress.

He tried everything and found a certain MAOI that helped a little bit... I thought of it as hopeless - So I was always hedonia searching..

Abilify took 2-3 weeks to help me with anhedonia (Mildly) but it made me severely impulsive, reckless, self destructive. I eventually took too much psilocybin which helped a lot + The right medication.

Be careful because Strattera is a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor and can do the same thing as Wellbutrin (Negative mood, suicidal thoughts, irritability). I took Wellbutrin for 3 months this year and it made me extremely suicidal.

I still have problems but my life has greatly improved and I can feel emotions again...

Thanks Desoxyn. I don't think Strattera is making me irritable but I do feel like I'm losing my mind. I hope it doesn't give me any side effects. Been on it two weeks and don't feel anything yet. The more I study people I think that lots of people experience lack of pleasure. Most people around here really don't express any joy or happiness.

Yes it is quite common for many people. This could help;

If I don't get some pleasure then there's no reason to live, imo. I feel like I'm dragging myself from here to there everyday. It really messes with your head when you can't experience pleasure. You have to limit your activities because everything just feels like work.
