I had a 1.69 toxicity that landed me in the hospital and today just a random check it was 1.4...1.2 being the top end of acceptable. I am not playing with my meds. Believe me I usually do but this time I didn't. I have severe mania with hallucinations and I don't want to go off my lithium but I don't know why it keeps going into the toxic level. One time my vision disappeared when it was toxic, it was scary.

Either your dose is too high or you're not maintaining a steady intake of sodium and water. I went toxic because I got paranoid and stopped eating and drinking although my dose was steady and not at a toxic level before my AP crapped out on me.

Please be careful. This can damage your kidneys.
