At what dose of Lamictal/lamotrigine should I notice a difference?
My pdoc started me off at 25mg and is increasing by 25mg until our next appointment/100mg where we'll see how it's going. I know being on 25mg for a week ain't gonna do jack. Just wondering how long at what dose can I decide if it's working or not. *for schizoaffective bipolar type or possibly bipolar 1

For me I didn’t notice any positive affects until I’d been on 200 mg for a couple weeks. I forget how long it took to get to that dose though.

If I remember correctly, 200mg is considered therapeutic dose, but I had to go higher than that for it to really take effect.

200mg for me, too. Lamictal is a terrific med, but the downside is that the effect takes weeks.

From what my doctor says 200mg of lamictal is the therapeutic dosage as mentioned earlier. I worked my way slowly to 200mg and have been on that dosage for years. It helps to keep me stable and I love it.
