I think I want to give this drug another try. I have been on it before and I was feeling better while on it, but then for whatever reason I swapped it out for Invega. I think it was predicated on chronoceptive delusional ideations. I remember at the time my psychiatrist mentioned to me that there are higher doses of Rexulti; I was on 1mg at the time. I think if I went on this medication again, I would work with my psychiatrist to titrate to a dose higher than 1mg this time and see how it goes.

I used to be on Rexulti. It was a good medicine. I was on 4 mg. It did make me horribly hungry though and I gained weight on it.

I appreciate your reply, SlumberKitty. I have had a similar experience with antipsychotics in general. They make me have a voracious appetite at times. I am worried about developing Diabetes or Heart Disease or something.

Now I am on Olanzapine (zyprexa) Gained like 10 lbs. Ugh. I also take Latuda. I'm supposed to be taking 80 mg but I am only taking 20 mg. The pdoc told me to titrate up to 80 but I felt good on 20 mg so I just stayed there.

I'm on Olanzapine too; I am on 30mg right now. I have been feeling pretty good for the most part. I am also on an SSRI. I think it also helps my symptoms. I have never been on Latuda. Years ago, an APRN I was seeing suggested she could try me on it if I wanted, but that was back when I was still anti-medication and did not think I needed it. But now I do, thankfully. I have been compliant for five years now. I was "compliant" before that, too, but I took medication reluctantly.

Do you feel like your pdoc listens to you?

Yeah, I feel like my pdoc listens to me. I was in the psych hospital last month. They took me off of three meds. He put me back on two because I was still symptomatic. Now I am feeling pretty stable.
