I was put on this yesterday to see if helps with my memory glitches.

Do any of you know anything about this drug? I know its to treat Alzheimers but other than that I haven't heard of this one.

Namenda targets a brain chemical known as glutamate. Nerve cells rely on a variety of chemical messengers to transmit messages from one cell to the next. One of those chemical messengers is glutamate. Glutamate is a chemical in the brain that has been associated with learning and memory.

The only indication Namenda is approved for is moderate to severe dementia. But many drugs are found to have benefits in areas they are not indicated for.
