My doctor raised my prestiq on Monday from 50 to 100. I've been tired and sluggish and nauseated and not very hungry since. I've also lost 4 pounds which I dont mind but it worries other people when I lose weight. I have the most energy between 3AM and 8AM so I can get my weight lifting done and get coffee. I'm just wondering how long it takes for the side effects to go away and for the increase to take its full affect.

Not exactly sure on the timeline for the side effects but the dose increase usually they say takes about 6-8 weeks to kick in fully, at least so the psychiatrists usually say. Is it worrying you that the dose increase isn't going to be helpful or were you more concerned about the side effects? Or I guess you could be concerned about both things, which is understandable, too.

I'm starting to feel better mental health wise. These side effects still suck though.

I took Pristiq 5 wks and I felt horrible so I checked into a hospital. Pristiq was the only med I hadn't tried in 40 yrs so my Dr. automatically put me on it.
