I am thinking about asking my psychiatrist about Zyprexa Relprevv. I am currently on 30mg Olanzapine ODT. I am wondering what the injectable equivalent would be. I think part of my problem is thinking that my doctor is prone to making prescribing errors, and I am not sure why I think this. Maybe it's because I feel he doesn't even care about me.

Also I don't know the exact equivalent of the injectable olanzapine, you'd have to confirm that with a professional for sure. Do you think the olanzapine just doesn't work for you? I remember you saying a few threads ago that you were still experiencing symptoms on the olanzapine... You could always try another atypical antipsychotic or even a conventional antipsychotic... Sorry you feel your prescriber doesn't care about you. That can be a tough feeling for sure.

Zyprexa Relprevv is kind of a pain in the arse because you have to stay there for I forget if it's one or three hours after the injection to make sure you don't have a severe reaction that's somewhat common (delirium). A lot of prescribers don't even touch it because of that. And if oral olanzapine doesn't work for you the injection won't either as it's the same thing just with some extra ingredients to dissolve the medication in (which is what can cause the reaction).
Other depot medications don't have as much of this risk (although I did get it from Risperdal). I'm not sure what the equivalent would be, but you're already maxed out on the Zyprexa dose so whatever the highest Relprevv dose would be would be your dose.

because it's almost never used. A lot of psychiatrists 100% refuse to prescribe/administer it because you have to be watched for so long (I looked it up, it's 3 hours) after each injection because it can cause coma or delirium

you cannot have an injectable match your current pill dose because it is 1.5 times the FDA approved max.
