Can the medication Rexulti reverse brain damage caused by schizophrenia? I am asking this because back in 2018, I was on the medication for about six months. While I was on that medication, I got these weird feelings in my brain. But I was not sure what these feelings were, and so I became apprehensive. So I told my psych doc I wanted to switch from Rexulti 1mg to Invega 3mg. He then went along with me and respected my wish. But looking back at it, I think I should have stayed on the Rexulti, and possibly even increased its dosage.

The brain can repair itself. It has been known for a century that approximately one-quarter of individuals who develop a schizophrenia-like psychosis will recover without treatment and not get sick again.
