Did it make you lose or gain weight? Or have some other side effect? I’m just wondering what your experience has been with the med in general. I’ve heard it’s sometimes used to treat sleep disorders which is the reason I would be put on it.

its an amphetamine. back in the 50-70s, amphetamines were widely used for weight loss. now, diet pills--the amphetamines and the other stimulants--are frowned upon.

it is sometimes used to treat narcolepsy. schedule II...no refills, written prescription for each fill, restrictions on dosage and quantity per fill. widely prescribed, but regarded as addictive, abuse potential, etc.

can help some forms of depression, too.

Vyvanse is a much smoother version. It is hard to eat on it , and the crash after is rough ,especially if you don't stay hydrated. Adderall and Vyvanse make it hard to sleep. It is very motivating, and increases focus for sure, but can ramp up anxiety.
