I know a lot of people have had hypothyroidism develop as a result of taking Lithium. And then you find yourself on Levoxyl. I wonder if there are people for whom the thyroid function has ever normalized to the point of them not needing Levoxyl anymore?
It has been 6 years off Lithium for me. I wonder if this side effect is essentially tardive, a lifelong affliction. __________________ Bipolar I w/psychotic features Last inpatient stay in 2018 Geodon 40 mg Seroquel 75 mg Gabapentin 1200 mg+Vitamin B-complex (against extrapyramidal side effects) Long term side effects from medications, some of them discontinued: - hypothyroidism - obesity BMI ~ 38 |
