I tried many supplements and they made me feel weird or didn't help at all.
Some herbal ones.
Vitamins never really helped . It seems we're all stuck on meds. Actually caffeine in coffee lifts my depression. I would take a little bit of caffeine pills in the past too on my own, but now I'm in a group home.

I see that you are in the USA here herbal supplements are not well regulated and what you get is often below therapeutic values. There’s also potential dangers in supplements.

I hope you are in a nice group home. I was in one for about a year. Another one for about 6 months. The place was very nice and I had my own room. One of them had natural food. I liked that one a lot.

I think it depends on what the natural supplement is and why you're taking it. If you're taking melatonin because you can't sleep, and it helps you sleep, obviously it's as good if not better than any prescription. I can't think of any natural supplement that'll treat mania as well as a good antipsychotic though (trust me, I've tried).

I tried St. John's Wart--even the highest recommended dose and it did diddly. So, that's my experience. And some of these natural supplements can interfere with regular meds and have side effects. Plus, I don't think they get regulated by the FDIC. So, to answer your question. no.

Eating a low calorie diet and using my smart watch to track my steps and my fitness app to log my food helps me more than any meds.
