Of course every drug has a lengthly list of drug interactions or precautions, but I noticed Zoloft can "possibly" cause bleeding if taken with pain killers/anti inflammatories such as advil, aspirin, or tylenol? Is this just a rare thing or do you have to seriously monitor your dosage on the aspirin and non aspirins? I am 22 and don't have any bleeding problems but I was wondering if its a concern.

Hi. I was on Zoloft for quite a number of years, about 10 years ago. I don't remember having to monitor my pain meds that closely. What exactly does the sheet say? It it a big warning or is it just a listing of things that happened during the trial?

It says: "Additional monitoring of your dose or condition may be needed if you are taking the following drugs"... and it says "nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines such as aspirin or Ibuprofen". I wonder why??

because NSAIDS or anti inflammatories can cause stomach bleeding themselves if taken in excess.
Just make sure you take it with food, don't take them at the same time if you can help it, and don't take alot at once. |

would it be okay if Im taking Zoloft (50) to take one tylonol PM?

Unless you're particularly sensitive, it should be fine. Usually if this was going to be a problem, you would have had problems with the OTC drugs in the past usually!

Nope no problems with anything, I am 22 and in tip top shape. Besides for the atrial fibrillation I had (but i had corrected dec 17th and was a success) I am in perfect shape.
