Anyone had an experience with a Modafinil, and for what did you take it?

I took it for narcolepsy and it did not work. When I was sleepy in the morning, I would take Modafanil (Provigil) and go back to bed and sleep for several more hours. It was like taking a sugar pill. Same with its younger cousin Nuvigil.

But my good friend with Bipolar II loves his Modafanil. It gives me alertness and focus. And of course, it is milder compared to true stimulants.
