nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and headache are the effects that seem to be listed for every drug.

Simply because they are common symptoms that people experience, even when they are unmedicated. There is no way to know if the drug is producing the effects, or if there are other causes (called confounders). If you followed a group of people for six or eight weeks (typical duration of a clinical trial), I'm sure you'd find that a goodly number of those individuals had a headache or tummyache, at least once.

It could be possible that the drug is causing these symptoms more frequently than would be expected by chance, but that still could be due to temporary or transient side effects......ones that clear up on their own without treatment, once the body adjusts to the drug. Even still, there are numerous remedies for these symptoms, as a visit to the drug store would surely reveal.

Best,
Lar
