Last spring I decided to go off all my meds except for my migraine med. My new pain specialist is giving me the correct amount of med to remove all the pain from my migraines. I decided that I didn't want any of my other meds to mess with that delicate balance. I wasn't on any antidepressants because I never found one that worked or didn't give me terrible side effects. I had been of Valium for 9 years with many extreme overdoses on it in the past. It no longer seemed to have any effect even with a large dose, so I decided to stop taking a med if it didn't work. The high blood pressure was from my migraines & now that they are under control, figured I didn't need them any more either. I really didn't think about anything happening when I did this, & only thought I didn't want to put these poisons in my body anymore. Looking back & from what other people have said, I should have really been messed up, but I really never felt a thing. Is that possible? Or was it kind of "mind over body"?

I agree, you ARE blessed. I never had to withdraw from valium, but a good friend did. I can't even imagine going through what he went through. Consider yourself lucky. Cold Turkey off Valium
