I am currently on 1500mg of this drug. I experience loss of enjoyment in life although this is an antidepressant. I have noted in my country (Australia), the manufacturer has listed the maximum dose as 600mg. I have asked time and again why am I on an excessive dose but to no avail. It leaves me spacey and apathetic. I am told these are my symptoms of sz manifesting. They are wrong.

I am also on chlorpromazine (largactil), neulactil and lithium. Although I am not sure why the lithium. It is apparently to control my suicidality.

Is there anybody out there on moclobemide too? I have found not many on it.

That is a very high dose!! I've tried Aurorix a couple of times and the first I was on 600mg. Second time was 150-300mg.

I notice it doesn't work as effectively as some anti depressants and I have recently come off of it again. It does do 'something' though but not much for my anxiety and I don't sleep as well on it.

I also take Neulactil and find it doesn't mix too well with Aurorix, what was that prescribed to you for? I know its good for sleep!

Neulactil is prescribed for my psychosis. I had no idea it doesn't mix with Aurorix. Should I be concerned?

Not concerned just be cautious if it effects you the way it did for me. I had one time where I passed out from the Neulactil and hit my head on the floor, then had sweats and what not.

I only had one of the neulactil's too. I just notice I have to be careful an hourish after I take it.

How's the Aurorix going for you now?

Sorry for not replying sooner... I was in the psych ward yet again (ho hum).

The Aurorix does work wonders for me I believe. It is practically the only thing keeping me from having yet more ECT. Psychiatrists agree however that 1500mg is a large dose, perhaps that is what I just have to take. Any lower for more than a fortnight and I go downhill all over again.
