Has anyone ever been treated with Tramadol for OCD? I was just reading that some patients with severe OCD have benefited from
Tramadol. Tramadol technically is a very low dose opiate pain reliever used for pain after surgery or for people who are in chronic pain, ie Back and/or arthritis. Another name for Tramadol is Ultram or Ultracet. Its legal over the counter in some countries but not in the U.S. I read some people have had good results with Tramadol and OCD. Just wondering if anyone here has tried it or has known somone who has used it for this unlabeled use..? ![]()

My husband used it in place of morphine sulfate as a result of his cancer surgery.
I hope you find luck with it treating your OCD symptoms!

hmm. It is still an opioid. I would have great concerns about physical dependency and addiction. Your body would get used to the Ultracet and you would need something stronger. Medication usually takes longer to affect OCD, for unknown reasons.
