My pdoc prescribed me Lamtictal and gave me the starter pack, but it has just been sitting here for over a month. Right when he gave it to me I started to go through one of of "normal" periods. I was finishing up three weeks of Lexapro withdrawals and I've had a very rough two years as far as medication is concerned-- I had been through Trileptal, Cymbalta, Lithium, Lexapro, and Seroquel-- and I really just wanted to give my body a break.

I am definitely starting to experience moods again (both depressive and hypomanic). I'm am sort of thinking of starting the Lamictal mostly because I am starting doctoral school next month and my goal was to find a medication that would stabilize my moods a bit so I wouldn't fall into a bad depression in scohol.

I know all about the rash-- I know that if you see a little bit of a rash, to just stop the med, call the doc, get it checked out.... but I do a lot of catastrophic thinking and I'm convinced that I will get the rash and it will spread and kill me within 3 minutes. OK. So... has anyone actually gotten the rash? What happened???

Ah, screw it. I took my first pill a little while ago. We'll see what happens.
