I've been on Topamax for several years now, and I can't take the cognitive effects anymore. I'm in a show & have to learn so much choreography and songs. I used to be a quick study, but on DOPamax, I keep blanking out during rehearsals. I quit the drug cold turkey a few days ago, and I know I'm not supposed to (it can cause seizures to go off too fast). I had one Grande Mal years ago, but I just hate it so much, I don't even care if it happens again...oh well.

Oh wow, that's a tough situation. How long have you been off the meds? A day, two days. I'd suggest that if its only a day you go back to the normal dose and then tapper yourself. It might cause even worse memory problems to quit cold turkey and that's exactly what you are trying to fix. Call your doc, and ask about how you could taper off and explain why you need to.
