After taking Lamictal for three days I got a slight rash, like a little heat rash, not too bad. But my regular Dr said to stop taking it for a week to see if the rash will go away and start back. I also left a message with my pdoc about what was going on...
My question is has this happened to any one else? Starting, stopping and restarting. How did it work out? I took it for 5 days total... Is it safe to restart while skipping the first week? And does the rash ever just go away? Liberada

Usually if the rash is caught early then it will go away with no ill effects (sometimes you are told to take something like Benedryl IF it doesn't interfer with any of your other meds--I can't take Benedryl) & the Lamictal can be started again. You just need to take it real slow (titrate the dosage up very slowly) but listen to your pdoc. He is the one with the best advise. He may or may not want to put you on Lamictal again. It's a great medication.--Suzy
