My t told me that generics only have to be 80% (I think) as effective as the name brand products. Currently I'm taking 450 of the bupropion and it seems I'm having quite a bit of hair loss! I can't remember how it was when I was taking the wellbutrin.... so I'm thinking it must not have been too bad...

Has any one that has taken both been able to tell a difference?

I'm having some hairloss with the name brand wellbutrin but I don't mind because I feel better than I have in a really long time. The generic (both budeprion sr and bupropion sr) gave me really bad mood swings ,headaches and anger issues. I don't have any of that with name brand sr 150mg. I hope this helps you.

I have taken both and I have been on them for years. I have never had problems with hair loss or noticed a difference between the 2. I have even been on 450 mg for extended periods of time.
