I would like to hear how others here have weaned off SSRI's. I've done this very slowly, actually over a period of two years, but now three days off the last fragments of two months, I'm having dizziness, some mild "brain zaps" in the form of what feels not like electical shocks, but more like adrenalin rushes accompanied by negative thoughts. I have overcome this quickly, and in the past pill decreases, find this disappears in a couple of days. I'm looking foward to this new venture, though it is kind of scary as well, since I've been on one form or another of SSRIs for 17 years. I hope not to have to go back to it.

Thanks, Sunrise...I have to admit, I have felt so "ill" during this past week off from work, that, today, I contemplated going back on the medication.
Instead of remaining cloistered inside my home like a vegetable, today I went out and took myself to lunch at a nice restaurant, and even went to a department store to find a bargain (which I never do). I needed a knit top to wear under a sweater, and I found one at a great bargain price. The dizziness continues, and last night was sleepless till 5 a.m. I'm weathering this because I don't have to go to work till the Monday after the New Year, by which time, I'm hoping the withdrawal side-effects will mostly have disappated.
