I am taking Lexapro 10mg at night and then klonoping 1mg at night. I still wake up in the middle of the night and then can't go back to sleep. I cant function like this. I desperately need sleep. My doctor wants to do a sleep study, i don't know how that is going to solve anything. Do you think I need a higher dose of the klonopin. I have been on lexapro and klonopin for 1 week now.

I'm on Lexapro and have read that is can cause insomnia. Perhaps it would be best for you to take it in the morning to help lessen the effects of insomnia, if Lexapro is the culprit. If you still have problems after a couple of days, talk to your pdoc about perhaps adding a sleep aid.

Yes, I switched it to the morning on Sunday and slept great on Sunday night with only .5mg of the klonopin. Have to admit, I love klonopin. It is a wonderful drug. Lexapro is also making me feel so much better-more energy, more focus, less racing thoughts in my head, and able to concentrate. It has only been a week. I feel so much better.

Glad to hear you switched the time to take your Lexapro and that you are feeling so much better.
Thanks for this!
