The psychiatrist is the best person to provide you with meds that will work for you. There are so many drugs out there for depression, anxiety, bipolar. I tried to do my own rx and not return to the pschiatrist and it didnt work well. I am so happy i went back. Just wanted to encourage you to call and make an apt.

i made an appointment for thursday, with a psychologist.... what a waste of time that is gonna be!!!
but i insisted on seeing a guy, cuz i really dont trust women. no offense women!
and after his stupid eval, he will send me to a psychiatrist.
i have friends who have meds... black market, transferred prescriptions, doesnt matter to me. i just dont want to be at the end of my rope again with no rescue med....
i heard olanzapine may work... and im trying to get my hands on it as we speak.......

You probably know, but olanzapine is an antipsychotic .... not something to mess around with - they need a doctor's supervision. If you have urgent issues, and are in any danger - you must go to the ER for help. Also calling hot lines can sometimes help get you through rough spells. Just having another person to talk to really helps.

Take care. emmy

No meds, till you consult with a mental health professional.
There is no magic, 1,2,3 med. (I know) the best and safest thing to do if you are in crisis is to call a local hospital/911, even get someone to take you to the nearest hospital/behavioural health dept. for immediate professional attention.
If you are seeing a therapist and/or pdoc at the present time, consult with them ASAP.
Hope you'll consider this, believe me there is hope out there as well as help.

Please take care,
DE

I agree with darkeyes. Even on new meds the "FAST ACTING" ones takes 2-4 weeks, the rest 4-6

if youre reading this thread cuz you are suicidal, please go to your doctor or a hospital now...
they have meds that will quickly quench that thirst for death.
and you will be so glad you went...
cuz you dont have to end it, 1 tiny little pill will make it all go away.
