I googled propranolol for anxiety and got quite a bit of information! I was surprised! I've taken atenelol, a beta blocker, for years for migraines (can't much tell it works as I still have them quite often). It came up with the propranolol information. I never knew. lol ...learn something new everyday! Thank you for asking the question!

A lot of musicians use beta blockers before a performance to minimize the symptoms of their performance anxiety. The examiner mentioned it to me, after I'd finshed playing an exam at the conservatory because my hands were shaking so badly from nerves.

I was on propanlol and I did'nt like the way it made me feel. I know some people who was on it and it worked really well with them. I guess it depends on the person really

I'm taking propranolol as needed for anxiety. I really like it, it really helps with the physical symptoms of anxiety. When I get anxious my blood pressure gets high and my heart beats fast. I also sweat and tremor.

I've measured my heart rate and blood pressure when I'm anxious and after I take a propranolol and there is a major difference.

I used to take it to lessen my PTSD symptoms and it worked well, but after awhile it stopped being effective so p-doc switched me to Clonidine and it also helps.
