I have been on Retalin along with effexor and celexa. The first 5 days on Retalin were great. I was back to my old self. Lots of energy, happy, and could think straight. After the 5th day it is like it stopped working. I am taking 10 mg. I am 34 years old and am pretty big in size. (weight) so I am wondering if the dose isn't big enough or if I am not on the right medicine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

How long total have you been taking the ritalin? If it's less than a month, then you can discuss the issue with your prescriber when you go on your monthly visit and see if he/she advises a different dose or a different med. Or maybe you are scheduled to go sooner than one month. Your prescriber should be keeping close tabs since this is a new prescription for you. He/she will definitely want to hear how you are doing on the new med. It often takes several attempts to get the dose and med right when venturing into a new class of drugs (e.g. stimulants).
