does anyone know how someone taking topamax and lamictal takes bc as well my pdoc and my reg doc said that the birth control isnt as effective when your taking these meds and i was wondering if anyone has expierence with this

I don't have any experience, but, you bet your boopie that I'd listen to the doctors and use extra protection! Better safe than sorry, as they say.

No experience with this, but it is true that the way our bodies metabolize these drugs that it can render birth control pills less effective, so I'd say invest in a second method of birth control right now, like condoms, a diaphram, spermicide etc. Either that or consider an alternative form of a long term contraceptive, like an IUD. I've heard the interactions that occur are not so bad with the Nuva Ring or the Ortho Evra patch or even the Depo-provera shot too. the first two you want to check with a pharmacist and the last one, be careful with because once you get that shot, you'e stuck with the effects for three months at least.
