Hey, Sunshine, glad you're experimenting with various kinds of therapy; I've had both in-person and online. Sorry about your fall! I think with online it's more thinking and feeling than "physical" since you can't see one another. That's one of the reasons it's often better to see a therapist in person, get the "whole" person instead of just words on a screen. Hope you find something that works for you!

I used to go for email counseling, for me it was not that good as face to face counseling. I am see a pdoc and a t that i can email them both. Face t is better so that way you have a personal connection to your t seeing facial expressions, touch ect

What's your aversion to face-to-face therapy, if I might ask? I don't think online therapy is the complete package, IMO. I'm sure a lot of people think it's great, but I'm not one of them. I think essential ingredients are missing. You won't meet any friends in therapy though--but therapy can help you open yourself up to meeting new friends and come out of your shell. I don't see how online therapy can be that effective in that regard, considering you don't have to leave the house.
