and other "losses" in life.

A great book--one of the best "self-help" books I've ever read. It's called Necessary Losses by Judith Viorst.

I don't know what sort of degree(s) she has, but her wiki page says this: "Viorst turned to the study of Freudian psychology. In 1981, and after six years of study at Washington Psychoanalytic Institute, she became a research graduate there."

Excellent at dealing with losses relating to people and very fitting for therapy/therapist relationships.

Most highly recommend.

You can find it on-line at the usual sources; didn't post a link b/c I don't know if a commercial link would be o.k.

Judith Viorst has a B.A. in History and is a graduate of the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute. She actually began her writing career as a poet.
"Necessary Losses" is a wonderful book and I pick it up often to read from it.

Thank you for reminding me of this book I haven't looked at in a while
