I'm just so pissed at T now. I felt attacked and as though I had no voice. Instead of feeling better about myself I feel worse. It took all I could bear to not walk right out of session!!!!!!!! What's worse is that T has no clue because I kept all my feelings bottled in. On top of that, T wants me to do something that would cause me great anxiety and pain because she wants to speed me up a little in my progress. I told her I'm not ready but she wants me to at least try.I'm not very good with saying no ( I'm working on that).
I'm just sooo ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!! and OVER therapy now....

( sorry i just needed to get this out)

I really don't know of any advice on the subject, but I hope everything gets better for you!

((((((((((((((((((((((sw628)))))))))))))))))))))))))

I hope you can go back and tell her how the session felt to you. My biggest growth in therapy has come from me being honest with T about things he does/says that feel hurtful to me in some way, or make me angry.

As for the thing she wants you to do, you don't have to do anything you have to do until you are ready. Is it something that you can break into smaller steps, and maybe just take the first step?? Maybe the two of you could come up with a plan??

((((((((((((((sw628)))))))))))))) Sessions like that are the worst. Be extra gentle with you.

So sorry you had such a bad session!

I agree with treehouse - it's so important to be honest with your T about your feelings. And don't forget that YOU ARE IN CONTROL of your therapy - the speed of it, what you do outside of sessions, what you discuss in sessions - everything! T is there to help guide you, but you're driving the bus!

I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Can't stop you from praying and blessing me,
and if that makes you feel better feel free.
But keep it to yourself please, don't tell me.
And let's all respect each other's feelings.
With kindness, support and "sweet dreamings."
