The session was almost over when someone rang at the door. She said it must be her husband and went to let him in. I'm her last client, the appt is always longer than the 50 minutes (because I need the first half of the hour to get to the talking mood) and the husband sometimes comes to pick her up, nothing unusual. But this time it wasn't him. She told the repair guy to wait in the waiting room for about 10 minutes and came back. After like half of the minute the guy opened the door of the therapy room and was almost going in... T jumped up, shoved him into the waiting room and told to sit there for 10 minutes. I never new my T can have such a strict and pi***d off voice. She came back, apologized, we were almost saying goodbye, when the man tried to enter the room again. This time I got so scared I zoned out, still can't come back to my normal self. I'm so p***ed at myself for making such a huge deal out of this, I've been crying the whole day today and I can't stop, I don't even know why I'm crying. I'm such a baby

I also have no idea why I'm posting this... Can I have a hug?...

OMG! I would have freaked, especially when that guy didn't listen to your T. I have a feeling it wasn't a repair person though, because that would have been very weird way for them to act. It might have been a client showing up or something... I would guess...

That sounds crazy and scary. Sheeesh, did that guy not understand the meaning of wait 10min? You have every right to be upset

I agree with exotic, I can't imagine that having been a repair guy acting like that. But maybe you can talk to your T about how it upset you or if she allows contact btwn sessions, can you follow up with her and tell her that whole situation weirded you out?

idk, maybe he wasn't a repair guy (but looked like one), but definitelly not a client, not her husband either.
I wrote T an email and she already replayed. I didn't want an email with additional questions and a lot of insight, I don't want her to understand me that good. I want... i want... idk what i want I want to stop crying.

I'm sorry this man's actions interrupted your session and were so upsetting. Therapy is a place where we're very vulnerable, and it just doesn't feel safe when strangers come barging in!

i'm so sorry that happened to you. was Ts email back helpful to you? sometimes i call up pdoc just to hear his voice. i think it could be a way of connecting with something outside of me, especially when i'm triggered.

your T was obviously looking out for you during your session, do you think you can let her help you out again right now?
