I love this song! It just seems like something my T would say or sing to me when things feel really bad and the world feels hopeless.
((((T's everywhere)))))))

If No One Would Listen sung by Kelly Clarkson

Maybe no one told you there is strength in your tears
And so you fight to keep from pouring out
But what if you unlock the gate that keeps your secret soul
Do you think that there's enough you might drown?

If no one will listen, if you decide to speak
If no one's left standing after the bombs explode
If no one wants to look at you, for what you really are
I will be here still

No one can tell you where you alone must go
There's no telling what you find there
And, God, I know the fear that eats away at your bones
It's screaming every step, "Just stay here?

If no one will listen, if you decide to speak
If no one's left standing after the bombs explode
If no one wants to look at you, for what you really are
I will be here still

If you find your fists are raw and red from beating yourself down
If your legs have given out under the weight
If you find you've been settling for a world of gray
So you wouldn't have to face down your own hate

If no one will listen, if you decide to speak
If no one's left standing after the bombs explode
If no one wants to look at you, for what you really are
I will be here still

If no one will listen, if you decide to speak
If no one's left standing after the bombs explode
If no one wants to look at you, for what you really are
I will be here still
I will be here still
Thanks for this!

Wow that's interesting. A few weeks ago I showed the lyrics to that song to my T.

Dani,

I can see that you can relate to that song after reading your other post. Go back to see your T, maybe get an earlier appointment. Tell your T you need a shoulder to cry on, that you want to talk and can't. Let them help you.

I also feel like quitting all the time, less now than before, therapy is so freaking hard! What you are feeling is normal, many of us of felt we couldn't speak in therapy and then get frustrated and want to quit. Don't give up, okay...

Thank you. I will probably call in a few days. This song is definitely very touching, I'm a huge fan of Kelly Clarkson, so when I got her latest cd, I listened to this song over and over and just cried.

(((((E-Flower))))) & (((((Dani)))))

I so absolutely love this song. It makes me cry so much....and yes...I've always wished someone would say these words to me.

I did not know that Kelly Clarkson covered this song!! I have loved this song for so long, but I have only heard it by Keri Noble. Kelly's version is beautiful, with a bit more Pop to it...but Keri's version still rings in my ears.

Thanks for posting....neither of you are alone!!

So cool! I wonder who did it first? The song just gives me chills, doesn't everyone want someone to say this to them?

Keri Noble did it first, she released it on her album in 2004 and Kelly released it this year.
