I've just got home this evening from an eight day stay in the hospital. I am SO glad I went. My pdoc basically knocked me out for the first 48 hours to let my body reboot its sleep cycle. I am back to sleeping 9 hours a night and feel much, much better. (I love my pdoc).

Went to some marvelous groups while I was inpatient. After I sort back through it all, I'll share some of it with you.

Pdoc switched up some of my meds and added a couple. He says that there is a small percentage (8%) of patients who for some reason, all meds lose their effectiveness after initially working quite well. I'm one of the those lucky few.

Anyway, I've shaved my pits and legs, cut my fingernails, sorted out my meds, and settling back in. I'll probably mark most of this forum as "read" and just start with whatever comes up from this point on, so bear with my while I get caught up with what has been going on with you.
Thanks for this!

I am glad it was a good experience to get you back on a healthy road, farmergirl. You so often have such a positive attitude to things, to be able to help me see things in a better light. I am sorry things got bad, but glad you feel better!

Thanks everyone. Today my husband and sons took me out for an early Mother's Day. We saw the documentary Babies. I strongly suggest it. Beautiful movie. Will make you smile.

Actually it was a depressive episode complicated by insomnia. It wasn't the manic kind of insomnia where I didn't miss the sleep. It was an inability to maintain sleep which left me more and more exhausted by the day. That's the depressive sort of insomnia.
Thanks for this!

Thanks guys. I'm in the middle of my first day back to work. My sub didn't follow my instructions which totally ticks me off, but other than that it has all gone well. My students were glad to see I'm back and all in one piece. My 3rd period had actually made me a card and mailed it to me last week. That's rather ironic seeing how my 3rd period is the class from h*ll. It's always funny how it's the worst class that misses you the most. (Probably because they are a VERY needy group of kids.)
Thanks for this!
