I gave T a picture of little me to hold and keep safe. I almost didn't do it because it felt so silly, but somehow at the end of the session I got the courage.

I told her that I thought it might help me feel like my younger self is being held and safe and asked her if she would keep it for a while, and she took the photo and immediately clutched it to her chest and said she would feel so honored to keep it safe for a while. Actually, she didn't say "it" she said "her," she kept referring to the photo as "Little G" and "she/her." T cradled the photo in her hands like it was the most precious thing. And then before I left she got her purse and found a special safe pocket to keep it near her all the time.

It was really amazing. I didn't really have to explain why I was giving her the photo. She understood immediately and seemed really happy to do that for me.
Thanks for this!

I'm so happy for you, and glad you got the courage to give it to her. What a relief that must have been. It brings tears to my eyes just reading about how she responded. What a wonderful T, and you can also keep her with you always.
Thanks for this!

That's wonderful, both that you did it and her response! Keep us informed about "what happens" as a result.

I just feel so warm and safe....I really feel like the child part of me is being held I wish I could have a photographic memory of T's face when she held that photo to her chest. It makes me weep.

How can something so simple feel so healing?
