Woo Hoo. Love doing this "night before the session super anxiety freak out mode". It doesn't help that lovely PMS has slipped into the mix and is making things that much worse. One of these days T is going to clue in that every 28 days my sessions take a nose dive in terms of mood and cooperativeness. I'm just waiting for him to hit me with the PMS realization when he finally clues in.
Trying to keep a positive attitude and go in hoping things will be smooth and we will get good work done. But anxiety is telling me it's going to be a fly by the seat of your pants kind of session and we'd better be prepared to hold on tight. I hope my anxiety and over the top emotions don"t screw up this session tomorrow. I shall try to remain calm and serene. Could use some advice or a good whack on the head. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I guess I don't have any good advice, but I can offer some encouragement. All you can do is the best you can.
T's are usually used to anxiety and I'm sure your T will understand. I don't think it is possible to screw up in therapy, although i can relate to the feeling of wanting to have a good session and feel like you accomplished something. Good luck, Polaris, and let us know how it goes. ![]() |

Maybe just letting him know you are anxious right off the bat could help. It is too easy to think that they somehow "know already" but they don't always pick it up on their own. Let us know how it goes!!!!!
