hey all. I had a session tuesday...it was tough. I'm dealing with some trauma issues. It's difficult for me to tell if it's a good session. I wonder how we get anywhere when I just dissociate all the time from feelings However that being said this last session left me feeling physically ill...and since about 6pm wed evening I have been unable to keep much down except fluids. I just wonder if the emotions are comin out in physical ailments. I don't think its the flu no additional fever. sorry just needed to vent...

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I think it makes sense that emotional reactions can have physical symptoms too. Like feeling exhausted when depressed, tense and headachy when anxious or stressed.
It's good you can keep fluids down. I hope you feel better soon.

I've definitely had physical symptoms in response to trauma work (or avoiding trauma work!!). Some of them have been weirdly specific to my trauma (parts of the body affected, etc) and I've read that that isn't uncommon at all.

I hope you feel better very soon. Know that you're doing hard work and take gentle care of yourself

occasionally I have to pull my car over and vomit on the way home from T...so yea, I would say the emotional effects the physical.
