Due to my lack of transportation and anxiety about talking to people I don't know in person, I was wondering if there were any therapists that work over the internet? I express myself better/more clearly through writing anyway... So it would be ideal for me. If anyone knows anything about this, if it's even possible to find one online, I'd appreciate some info or links.
Thanks! ~Raven |

Thank you, but those aren't quite was I was looking for. Was hoping for something a little more personalized than "Ask and you MIGHT get an answer", or therapists that cost an arm and a leg. =/ Was thinking more along the lines of a real counselor that you "meet" with weekly (bi-weekly, or whatever), except over the internet instead of in person. I probably won't get that lucky, but I thought it'd be worth it to ask the community. =P

its called etherapistonline.com (im new, so i am not allowed to post a website link yet, but that is the name of it) if you google on-line therapy, some others come up. you have to pay by email or by minute of chatting. good luck. |

There is that sort of thing, but it is quite pricey, and they are never covered by insurance. There is a lot of info about it at: http://www.metanoia.org/
I think the directory there points you right back to psychcentral though. There are tons of them on line, you just really need to check the credentials and stuff.

yes, they do exist, but I'm not sure they will provide the same relationship that you will build with a T in real life. But if you have no other options open to you, I guess this is the next best thing
