ok i am sure you have all been in this placei woke up this morning with a bad runny nose and no matter what i do it will not stop i mean it is running all the time i am walking around blowing my nose almost non stop i have tried nose spray .sinus and cold medicine to no avail it is still running non stop i mean dripping and all.i have therapy apointment at 5 my nose wont stop dripping and i just cannot just sit infront of my therapist with a drippy nose and continpusly wiping and blowing.i dont have a cold or stuffy nose at all it is just running ALWAYS.i"m totally self consious and wont do it i will cancel my appointment .PLEASE any sujestions on how to stop a runny nose so i can go to therapy

Awwwwwe darlin...I had a movie reel of humorous suggestions but none of a useable sort...Maybe a pretty piece of cloth hiding tissue...you can frequently dab nose...I envisioned itty bitty buckets dangling beneath your nose ...or cotton tucked inside...lmao...but it really is concerning...awwe....I hope u go hun...~W~

I had the same thing happen to me a couple weeks ago. Just tell T at the beginning what's going on. They won't care

lol too funny.thank you.i am now trying to take some benadryl i hope this will help it is my last straw before i cancel

when my nose was running constantly, a shower sometimes helped, but the underlying cause was sleep apnea,, you might look for the check off list online, and see if you have any other signs,, hope this drys up before T,, but i bet the two of you laugh so hard it will be good for you~~ best wishes, Gus

i know it wouldnt bother her but i just cant it isnt like it is going to be a little dab here and so .my nose is really going to town and i am constantly blowing it i dont think i could talk anyway.and i am really way to self consious to go like this i am now so hoping the benadryl will work.heck bye the time i am done i will be so drugged up i wont want to go.

My mom used to call a severe runny nose "running for Congress"

Sometimes we just have to cancel an appointment. Snot happens.

I have one word for you - sudafed or pseudoephedrine. It works like a charm and it is the only thing that really works for me. It is over the counter but you will have to ask your pharmacist for it.

Oh, granite. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Do you have a cold or an allergy? I hope the Benadryl helped. I wouldn't add sudafed to that or you won't be able to move! Benadryl puts me to sleep! I hope you make it to your session and your nose starts cooperating!!! Well, it's something to talk about with T, maybe! LOL.

sudaphed and I don't mix--I don't sleep for a couple of days if I take it.

Grab some soft kleenex and go. Of course, I say that because my T gets colds more frequently than I do. I rarely get one. She was getting one last week and was raspy tonight. We ignore it and heck it's a kleenexy place already.

WOLF although it was a serious delema for me it was too funny not to share with all of you .i am so glad it stopped though i mean it is still running but not as bad but T did need to blow her nose once in sesson.lol i almost died trying not to burst into uncontrolable laughter.that would have gone over well

rain i wasnt really able to talk much.no big surprise.but she did like my card and then talked about the cupon book i made her.i did say i just made it as something fun.she said,"you really didnt expect that i wasnt going to use this did you?"i said yes and she told me i was in for a big surprise and she is definately going to use it that she thought i put a lot of thought in to it and she liked how it was so personal to my therapy.dont know what to expect with this but my bet is it may take the pressure off me to just talk some maybe.if she really does use them.

Granite, do you live where it is cold right now? If so, dust mite allergies would be what is going on for you and this is very easy to control. If you are interested I can PM you with what you can do to get your nose to stop and all without taking meds!
