Brene Brown is researcher and has talked a lot about shame and vulnerability and things related. I just thought I would share this with you all...hope you like it. I loved it!

Wow. Thanks for posting this. I watched the entire thing, and it really makes sense. I was left feeling quite sad that I am too resistant...but I appreciate the awareness. Thanks.

A friend of mine who is a T showed this to me a few weeks ago, and I really enjoyed it. I love her speaking style, and what a great topic that affects the entire human race!

He said that we can email as MUCH as we want (100 times per day). Believe in this - it is challenging fears about being punished. It is okay to be seen. You are not a nuisance. "Too much" simply means exploration, not punishment/withdrawal. Trust in him.

Not looking at him is about keeping aspects of self hidden/secret. We know that is not the healthy choice. Keep working on this - you will get there.

Accept there are parts. Be kind and gentle with them. Working with parts and feelings is the key to happiness. We have been happy before when listened to them and accepted them and were open to feelings. Write in your journal - it is safe to do so.

yay! im glad you all enjoyed it as much as i did! ive watched it several times and we showed it in group at my facility. its just so important and she has such a fabulous style.

she has a book called "i thought it was just me" that is absolutely excellent, too! i highly recommend it.

Thank you for the book recommendation also. I just reserved it. I really like this person, and that she has a way of speaking that reminds me of my T, helps! (Can you say "transference"? lol)

I love Brene' Brown! I just finished her book, I Thought It Was Just Me (but it isn't): Telling the Truth About Perfectionism, Inadequacies And Power.
Pick it up and read it if you get a chance. Very eye opening!
